Model PTA 400x6 AUTO Machine’s description It applies the protection tape on the aluminium profiles passing one after the other in line at speeds of 10 to 70 feet per minute. Possibility of simultaneous application on 2, 3, 4, 5 or eventually 6 sides of the profiles’ sections at the same time. 6th side though conditioned by the complexity of the section. High endurance sponge rollers are ensuring the tape application even when the profile’s surface is curved. Maximum width of profiles’ sections is 400 mm and maximum section’s height is 150 mm 2 driving pairs of vulcanized and rectified rollers of independent drive ensure the in-feed and exit of the taped profiles in controlled independence. In between the profile bars ‘ends, the tapes are cut by an original mechanically operated shear bearing a hot blade that cuts the plastic tapes instantly. The gap between the profiles in and out is sensed by sensors, but the main control is done electronically by the bar’s length advancement measurement. The protection tape rolls are positioned on the machine by simple and quick way. The machine is suitable for applying adhesive tape even when surfaces are curved.

The machine could take large protective film rolls of up to 14 inches in diameter for better productivity with less frequent tape rolls’ replacements. Motors: 3 phases, 60 HZ, 1 HP driven by 3 phases Inverter. The whole Plant is controlled by a PLC including also a modem for servicing the PLC from Greece, in case of need. Two moving vertical free rollers for the guidance of the moving profiles adjustable through sliding in the grooves of the ITEM section 80x40 mm for the 2 stations of the lateral application of protective tape on 3rd and 4th profile section's vertical sides. For the 5th and 6th sides’ taping stations there are adjustable in position through sliding in the grooves of the ITEM section 80x40 mm. Thermal positive cutting by a hot blade electrically heated cutting instantly the group of the tapes corresponding to each one of the tapes. The tapes’ cutting point controlled automatically by metal induction sensor securing the momentary feed stop for the cutting at the gap between the 2 profiles’ ends, one after the other.

The profiles are introduced at variable speeds input by the touch screen from 10 to 70 feet/min.
